About Us

We don’t just look after dogs - we welcome them into our family. Your dog stays in our home with our two gentle and dog-confident kids (10 and 6), enjoying a calm, secure, and affectionate environment. No kennels, no cold boarding spaces - just genuine care, familiar routines, and plenty of love.

Why Zoomies?

  • Because your dog isn’t one-size-fits-all — and their care shouldn’t be either.

At Zoomies, everything we do is guided by your dog’s individual needs. We don’t run a facility or follow a rigid routine. We care for dogs in our family home, adapting our days, space, and approach to suit each dog’s personality, comfort level, and routine.

  • At Zoomies, we’re guided by a simple principle: dog-first, always. We believe dogs thrive when their individual needs, routines, and comfort come before rigid systems or volume care. That’s why we offer in-home 1:1 care from our family home, follow your dog’s familiar routine, and prioritise comfort, calm, and clear communication. From climate-controlled spaces to regular updates and immediate check-ins if anything feels off, every decision we make is rooted in trust, thoughtfulness, and genuine care for your dog’s wellbeing.

  • We’ve always loved dogs and dreamed of having one of our own - but with family in the UK and frequent travel, we never felt ready to make that lifelong commitment. Instead, we began caring for the dogs of friends and family whenever they travelled, soaking up the joy, companionship, and calm that dogs naturally bring into a home.

What started as “getting our dog fix” quickly grew into something more. We realised how much we loved providing a safe, loving place for dogs to stay - and how naturally it fit into our family life. Zoomies grew from that love, and today it’s a business we’re incredibly proud of.

We truely believe dogs are humankind’s best friends. They bring light, comfort, and happiness into the world, and we feel genuinely lucky every time we’re trusted with another beautiful soul in our care.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Your dog stays in our family home, not a kennel. We adapt our space and routine to suit your dog — whether they’re used to free roaming, quiet corners, or sticking close to people.

  • Where they’re most comfortable.

If your dog is crate trained, we’ll follow that.

If they’re used to sleeping on a bed, that’s okay too.

If they have a portable bed or blanket, we encourage you to bring it along so they feel right at home.

  • Yes. Our home is fully climate controlled, so we adjust the temperature to keep your dog comfortable on hot days and cool nights - especially important for older dogs, puppies, or double-coated breeds.

  • Yes - this is the best part.

We genuinely love sharing our time with your dog and will send regular photo and message updates while they’re with us. For now, updates are sent via text or WhatsApp (we’re currently working on an app to make this even more seamless).

We also have a strict update policy - if anything feels even slightly off with your dog, you’ll be contacted immediately. We don’t leave things to chance, and your dog’s wellbeing is always our priority.

  • Absolutely — yes. Zoomies holds appropriate pet-care insurance designed specifically for in-home dog care. This includes cover for public liability, accidents, and incidents that may occur while your dog is in our care.

Insurance is a non-negotiable for us. It’s part of taking our responsibility seriously — not just caring for dogs with love, but backing that care with proper protections in place. While we do everything possible to prevent issues through careful screening, low-volume care, and constant supervision, having insurance ensures your dog, your property, and our family are protected should the unexpected ever occur.

We’re always happy to discuss our coverage in more detail or provide confirmation if you’d like extra peace of mind.

  • For now, our service will only take 1 dog at a time so your pup will receive our undivided attention and cuddles.

  • Only if it suits your dog. Walks are optional and tailored - whether that’s daily walks, ball chasing at the beach or no walks at all. We follow your instructions and your dog’s energy levels.

  • Zoomies is best for dogs who:

    • Are comfortable in a home environment

    • Enjoy human company

    • Can be around children

    • Are up to date with vaccinations

If your dog has specific needs or quirks, we’re always happy to talk it through.

  • All dogs are required to complete a meet and greet first to make sure Zoomies is the right fit for your pup.
To get started, head to our website and find the FREE Meet & Greet service, add it to cart, and complete our short questionnaire. Once submitted, we’ll be in touch to arrange a time that suits you and your dog.
